Plant a Tree From Home

Today we would be celebrating Arbor Day and planting a tree honoring our commitment to serving the community and caring for trees since 1946. When it’s safe, we absolutely plan to do so again.

As a Certified Arborist, my team and I have seen the extreme loss of trees locally in recent years due to the ash borer epidemic and tornadoes that devastated our community last year. Every tree planted is more vital than ever.

Arbor Day at Home

Due to COVID-19 social distancing and stay at home orders, we encourage our circle of valued customers, friends of Fitzwaters and everyone to participate in the Arbor Day at Home initiative.

Let’s keep the spirit of tree planting strong. Simply take a picture of your favorite tree and post it on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #arbordayathome and the Arbor Day Foundation will plant a tree in your honor.

Arbor Day Foundation has planted more than 350 million trees in neighborhoods, communities, cities and forests in addition to local efforts like ours. Let’s do our part and continue the traditions benefiting us all.

Time-Honored Tradition

Arbor Day is a time-honored tradition started in 1872 and became a nationwide program dedicated to promoting the value of planting trees and their vital role in our lives.

Most importantly, any time we can put one tree back to renew their tremendous benefits such as absorbing carbon dioxide, creating oxygen, food, wildlife habitat, erosion control, shade and shelter from the wind – is vital for our future generations.

Until we can celebrate in the community again, stay safe and enjoy some memories from our favorite annual community event.
